I had the shrimp and clam spaghetti which was delicious! My husband had the smoked salmon tangiolini - he liked it, I thought it was just ok. We had tiramisu for dessert which was food. The girl server we had at first was good, the second guy server was just ok. Overall I was happy with the place.

Overall this place was good and is worth eating at, especially to try some of the seafood dishes. My wife and I were trying to find somewhere that served seafood (not just pizza and pasta) that was just far enough from St. Mark's to avoid the highest prices.

Service: Our service was much better than what others here have noted. Our waitress was friendly and responsive. When there was a mistake with our side dish (bringing french fries instead of grilled veggies) she apologized and corrected it immediately. Our main courses took about 20-30 minutes to arrive, but assuming they made the risotto fresh, that would make sense. Overall good service, no one rushed us to leave.

Food: I had the risotto al nero di seppia (risotto with cuttlefish ink). The flavor is hard to describe. My wife described it as "tomato-y", so perhaps there was a little tomato sauce in it. It was tasty, especially the pieces of cuttlefish. I read that this is a specialty dish in Venice so you should try it at least once. My wife had the crab risotto, which was full of the taste of crab and butter in each bite. Both of the risottos came in large portions and I didn't even finish all of mine. For an appetizer we tried the grilled squid, which was cooked just right, tender and not rubbery, came with whole baby squids, and had two pieces of grilled polenta on the sides. As a side, we had grilled vegetables, which came as expected, nothing more or less.

Drinks: We had Aperol spritzes, which didn't have enough Aperol in them so they weren't very good compared to all the others I've been drinking during our time in Italy. Mostly just tasted like Prosecco.

Price: Our main dishes were around 15-16 euros each. I think the spritzes were a bit more expensive than what you could find elsewhere. It wasn't the cheapest place, but it was a little less expensive than other places that are closer to St. Mark's.

Ambience: We sat outside by one of the canals, right across from where gondolas pick up passers-by. The area had some foot traffic but wasn't too crowded so it was pleasant for an evening out.

Food took an hour to come out and was below average for the area. I had the crawfish gnocchi and it was old and smelled very fishy.
Beware they price gouge on soda and beer.

We were walking along the Canals and were approached by a solicitor outside the Trattoria Ali D'oro restaurant. We looked inside and saw just one couple having dinner so we walked past the restaurant and lost our way over some bridges and found ourselves back in front of the Trattoria Ali D'oro so as fate had it we went inside.

The waitress asked if we wanted water and I said yes, she either was not listening or distracted because she then said "I asked you if you want water."  To which I again replied Yes.

It was all downhill after that as the waitress got into a ten minute conversation with the only other patron about whether she recognized her, then where she was from and discussed business in Paris, completely ignoring our drink order.

I ordered French Onion soup and when it arrived 20 minutes later it was not French Onion soup but onion soup.  I was then informed that they do not have French Onion soup (it would have been nice to be informed of that fact before actually putting in the order).

We finished our starters and sat for 15 minutes before I asked about our order.  We were told she checked on our order but observed the waitress actually conversing with the bartender and other waiter sitting at the next table having his dinner and never once went back to the kitchen.

I asked for a napkin and the waitress acted as if I asked for a kidney.  Normally when you remove the starter dishes and the napkin it makes sense to bring a fresh napkin but I didn't expect very much from the waitress at this point.

I guess the other waiter could sense that we were being ignored and treated poorly because he brought out our food, extra napkins and we finally had our dinner.

The food was nothing to brag about, small portions, overpriced and nasty attitude from the waitress to boot.

I would recommend eating elsewhere, anywhere else, just not here.

Bad place. The service was the worst! They kicked us out as soon as we finished our drinks literally pushing our table and sits !!!! They made us have a bad time in Venice. Such a waste of money and time!!!! Not worthy at all.
